You still go to work. You still answer messages. You still laugh sometimes. And underneath, something has been fading for a while.

I made these cards because I know what that feels like. They are not therapy and they won't fix you. They are a companion for the days when you can't find the words.

If you are in danger or thinking about ending your life, call 000, or call Lifeline on 13 11 14, any time, day or night.

WHY I CREATED THESE CARDS

I made this deck because of the edge.

For me, the edge is the point where I want to disappear. Sometimes that means hiding in my house for a few days. Sometimes it means going away from everyone who knows me. At my worst, it meant wanting to go to sleep and not wake up ever again.

I was exploring my Human Design in more detail, and I was trying to work out what I could ask myself if I ever felt like I was at the edge again. Questions I could pick up when I couldn’t think straight. That’s where these cards began.

Whispers from the Edge is for people living with suicidalness. Not necessarily in crisis, but in the spiral, the stretch of days or weeks where the thoughts get louder and disappearing starts to feel like the only way out. I wanted to meet people there, before it becomes a crisis, not after.

From the one who stayed

There are two instruction cards, and one of them is signed “from the one who stayed”. That’s me. I speak to you as someone who has been there, and who still, sometimes, visits the edge. I’m not writing from the other side of it. I’m still walking.

Some days the thoughts get loud

and the last thing you want or need is toxic positivity,

and you don’t need someone telling you to stay strong.

You need something honest, small enough to pick up when you’re struggling.

Whispers from the Edge is three voices in one bag:

The Ghost

The parts of you that got silenced, hidden, or shamed

An example:

What part of you feels like it only has value when it's useful or admired?

The Ember

The flickers that remind you staying is still an option

An example:

What emotional truth are you beginning to speak, even if your voice still shakes?

The Mirror

The truths you're beginning to remember about who you really are

An example:

Where are you now letting emotional honesty guide your relationships, not fear or performance?

Some cards are meant to be spoken aloud, some belong in a journal, some in front of a mirror, and some are just to be held until you’re ready.

WHO IS THIS DECK FOR?

WHAT I MEAN BY "SUICIDALNESS"

Not a diagnosis. Not a clinical term. A human experience: the quiet experience of disappearing while still functioning. It's the slow erosion of hope, and thoughts of not wanting to be here, that can show up long before any plan or immediate wish to die. It often looks like competence on the outside and collapse on the inside, showing up for everyone else while becoming a ghost in your own life. If that sounds familiar, even if you'd never have called yourself suicidal before reading it, this deck was made with you in mind.

This deck is for you if…

  • You sometimes want to disappear, whether that’s hiding for a few days, pulling away from everyone, or something heavier, and you’re not sure who to tell.

  • You’re not in crisis right now, but you can feel the spiral starting, and you want something to reach for before it gets worse.

  • You look like you’re coping, and underneath you’re not.

  • You want questions that are honest and direct, not advice, a pep talk or “just stay strong”.

  • You’d like to hear from someone who has been there, still visits the edge sometimes, and stayed.

This deck is NOT for you if…

  • You’re in danger right now, or you have a plan to end your life. Please put the deck down and call triple zero (000), or call Lifeline on 13 11 14. It’s open any time, day or night.

  • You’re looking for therapy or treatment. These cards are reflective prompts. They can sit alongside support, but they can’t replace it.

  • You want a quick fix. The cards won’t solve anything on their own, and they don’t promise an outcome.

  • You’d rather not be asked hard questions. Some cards are direct on purpose, and you can put any card down.

  • You want to be told everything will be fine. These cards don’t do that.

WHAT'S INCLUDED (THE DECK BREAKDOWN)

Inside the Whispers from the Edge Deck, you’ll get:

  • 78 question cards in three decks of 26: The Ghost (purple), The Ember (burnt umber) and The Mirror (dusty teal)

  • 2 instruction cards: a letter from the one who stayed, and how to use the deck

  • 1 help card with Australian crisis and support numbers

  • A velvet bag to keep them in

The PHYNIX Quest Community

Your deck comes with an invitation to the PHYNIX Quest Community. It’s optional, and it’s there if and when you want it.

Some people want to sit with the cards alone, and that’s fine. Others find it helps to know they’re not the only one who has ever felt this way. The community is a place for the second kind, at whatever pace suits you.

The community is peer support. It isn’t therapy and it isn’t a crisis service.

If you are in danger or thinking about ending your life, call 000, or call Lifeline on 13 11 14, any time, day or night.

You don't have to wait for a card to ask for help.

Join when you are ready.

Your invite will arrive by email after you order. There's no deadline to join.

What you will find there:

  • A place to share if you want to, and to read quietly if you don’t

  • Other people who understand what it’s like to keep going while part of you wants to disappear

  • As a DeckVIP - Exclusive live sessions, prompts, and guidance on using your cards, if you want them
